Beta 1.1 Announcement - Terra Nova


As we prepare to launch Beta 1.1, I want to express my gratitude to all of you who have played the game and provided valuable feedback. Your insights have been incredibly helpful, and I hope to implement them in the following updates.

Beta 1.1 will primarily focus on fixing existing features of the game. One of the major features we're currently working on is revamping the main menu system. We found the current architecture to be limiting and unstable, so we're going back to the drawing board to improve its visuals and functionality.

Another feature we're updating is the game's biomes. Due to time constraints, we had to cut out many features in the previous beta release. However, now that Beta 1.0 has been released along with subsequent patches, we now have the opportunity to iterate and improve on these biomes.

Along with the main menu overhaul and biome updates, we are working on updating the structure system to add variety to natural structures such as trees and moss clumps, and there will be changes to how several structures work with the introduction of a loot system! This means that some structures like campsites will now include containers with randomly generated loot to help you on your journey.

In addition to these major updates, I'm also currently implementing several quality-of-life improvements and major changes to the codebase for a cleaner open-source project.

Stay tuned for what's to come because these aren't even the only things that will be added to the game!
