State Of The Game - February 2025

Another month, another game update (haven't I mentioned this before?)

This month has been dedicated to finalizing everything we wanted to include for beta 1.2.

Structures

We're adding a variety of new structures.

Following the significant improvements we made to our creature systems back in January, our focus  have now shifted towards overhauling the environment with a greater diversity of creatures. This endeavor required innovative features to foster a true sense of habitation throughout the landscape.

Caves

Another overhaul that has been made for this update, the caves have been completely rebuilt from the ground up. They are among the most essential features in the game, yet they felt the least polished.  Throughout February, we've worked on refining cave and ore generation for better balance. Additionally, we’ve planned and constructed new features for these caves.

We have also been working on updating how caves spawn so that we can add cave biomes in a future update. The system is ready now, but they biomes aren't, so we still need some time to fix up these issues before we're ready to implement them in the game.

Emotes

Another feature we’ve been quietly developing is the emote system. For a while, these emotes have been in the game for a while now, but were quite obscure, but we're ready to change that for Beta 1.2. We have been working on this feature for a bit to a brand-new Emote Picker feature, allowing players to easily browse and select from a wide array of available emotes.

Now that we’re nearing the end of development for Beta 1.2, the past few weeks have been about polishing our work and preparing to share it with you.
